Is Sergio García about to enter the prime of his career?

Sergio García beat a star-studded field to win the Thailand Golf Championships this week and entered the festive period with a lot more on his plate than just a giant trophy and a special Christmas chorizo. No middle-age crisis' for Bjørn or Jiménez

In a society where youthfulness is celebrated, golf remains a beacon of equality; same courses, same equipment, same balls. Its McIlroy v Scott - Round 1, but great rivalries are hard to find in golf

A few weeks ago we blogged about how the Australian Open would be a straight fight between Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy. With McIlroy improving as each tournament passes we felt sure he was ready to flex his trophy-lifting muscles soon. Adam Scott was looking every bit the next pretender to Tiger Woods's position as number one, winning three titles in the bounce in his green jacket homecoming tour. The resulting match up was everything it promised to be.
